The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox promises to be one of the most comprehensive and comfortable compact SUVs on the market, largely due to its full-bodied lineup of refined interior features.
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ushers in a new era for America’s most dependable pickup truck. The new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 includes a wide range of innovative engine options, offering unique Dynamic Cylinder Deactivation and a diesel engine for the very first time. Chevrolet has also revolutionized the bed of the new Silverado, offering more cargo volume than other trucks in the segment. The Silverado 1500 is also available with new advanced trailering technology and a number of advanced active safety features.
The full engine lineup for the 2019 Silverado includes a new 6.2-liter V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management, a 5.3-liter V8 with Dynamic Fuel Manage or Active Fuel Management, a 4.3-liter V6 with Active Fuel Management, a 2.7-liter Turbo with Active Fuel Management, and a 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel.
Chevy’s pickup bed, now called the Durabed™, uses higher-strength steel than the steel used in the 2019 Ram 1500; the 2019 Ford F-150’s bed is even weaker with only aluminum. More importantly, the 2019 Chevy Silverado’s bed is up to 20 percent more spacious than the pickup beds of competitors.
The Silverado’s short box offers 63 cubic feet of space, compared to 53 in the F-150 and 54 in the Ram 1500. The Silverado’s standard box offers 72 cubic feet of space, compared to 62 in the F-150 and Ram 1500. Note that the competitors’ standard boxes offer less space than the Silverado’s short box. The Silverado’s long box offers 89 cubic feet of space, compared to 77 in the F-150. The Ram 1500 does not have a long box option.
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is available at eight trim levels: WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, and High Country.
All trim levels of the 2019 Silverado 1500 are available with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, except the Trail Boss trims, which are only available with four-wheel drive. The WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, and LTZ trims all come in three body configurations: Double Cab, Standard Bed; Crew Cab, Short Bed; and Crew Cab, Standard Bed. The LT Trail Boss and High Country Trims are only available with a Crew Cab with either a Short or Standard Bed.
