What Chevy EV models are available at El Dorado Chevy?
Before we begin to share with you more about the tax credits that are available to you when you buy a Chevy EV, we want to first tell you more about the options that are offered at our dealership. There are three top EV models that we want you to check out! The first is the Equinox EV, which comes at you with an estimated 319 miles of electric range, a 17.7-inch diagonal touchscreen display, and even an 8-year/100,000 mile battery limited warranty. This stylish ride can provide you with all of the range, tech, and reliability you have been searching for. Another option to consider is the Blazer EV, which offers you 324 miles of electric range, Google built-in, available AutoSense power liftgate, and even wireless charging. The final vehicle we want to mention is the Silverado EV, which is a pickup truck that can offer you as much as 400 miles of electric range, up to 754 horsepower, and even 10,000 pounds of available towing.
Do I qualify for a tax credit on my Chevy EV?
We want to make sure you know whether or not you qualify for a tax credit before we share all of the great savings available! The first thing to note is that you have to be buying a vehicle for your own personal use, specifically for driving around in the United States. Beyond that, there are specific gross incomes that you can’t exceed. If you’re married, then you and your spouse cannot make more than $300,000. Anyone who is a head of a household cannot earn more than $225,000, and everyone else simply can’t make more than $150,000. If you do not exceed any of these amounts, then you are free and clear and able to take full advantage of these great tax credits. If you have more questions about the specifics, feel free to reach out to our finance center.
How much can I save on a tax credit for my Chevy EV?
Most of the money that you can save on your Chevy EV actually depends on when you took delivery on this vehicle. For anyone who took delivery from January 1st to April 17th, 2023, you can save as much $2,500 as the base model. There are further stipulations, as you can get $417 in additional savings for a vehicle with at least 7 kilowatt hours of battery capacity, and $417 for each kilowatt hour of battery capacity that exists beyond 5 kilowatt hours. This can total for as much as $7,500 total! However, if you took delivery April 18th, 2023 and after, those numbers change! If your vehicle meets the critical minerals requirement, then you will be getting $3,750. If your ride meets the battery components requirement, you save the same $3,750. If you happen to have a vehicle that meets both, then you get $7,500!
