A Nod to Camaros of Yesteryears
In honor of the sixth-generation Camaro’s production run in 2024, Chevrolet is offering a final unique Collector’s Edition on the LT/RS, LT1, SS, and ZL1 trims in North America. The Chevrolet Performance Design Studio drew inspiration from the original code name for the Camaro, Panther, to create a special edition that cements the sixth generation in history. Chevy found it fitting for this Collector’s Edition Camaro to pay homage to the significance of the original code name and share it with Camaro enthusiasts. The name “Panther” also influenced the colors used, with Panther Black Metallic for SS and Panther Matte Black for ZL1.
The Heart of the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition
At the core of the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition lies the remarkable 6.2L LT4 engine, boasting a staggering 650 horsepower. This engine is the second most potent powerplant ever made in Chevrolet’s regular production lineup. Limited to just 350 units made, the ZL1 Collector’s Edition will incorporate a front splitter drawn from the 1LE package, while coupes will proudly sport the ZL1 package’s rear spoiler. Additionally, ZL1 models will showcase the ZL1 1LE’s front splitter and the ZL1 1LE’s rear wing on their coupes.
A Real Crowd Stopper
The 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition is based on the LT/RS, LT1, and SS trims. Still, it adds a new Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat exterior color, Satin Black accent stripes, and 20-inch Satin Black or optional Polished Forged wheels. The ZL1 trim also gets a unique Panther Black Matte exterior color, the first matte paint offered on a factory Camaro. Every Collector’s Edition Camaros has unique front fender script badging that integrates a panther into the “R.” The Black Metallic ZL1 stripe, red brake calipers, and black lug nuts complete the exterior look.
Inside this One-of-a-Kind Camaro
The interior of the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition is just as exceptional as its exterior. Each of the 350 ZL1 Collector’s Edition models boasts a serialized steering wheel badge, representing where it was built and the production sequence where the vehicle was assembled. This serial number is displayed with a distinctive panther emblem on the steering wheel. These Camaro creations also come with custom floor mats bearing a laser-etched aluminum Collector’s Edition logo and exclusive black interior accents and treatments.
A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Performance
All Camaro Collector’s Edition buyers receive a welcome kit with two posters commemorating the Camaro generations and the Collector’s Edition. Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition owners also receive a bespoke Canfield Sport 45mm watch from Shinola, with an inscribed serial number that matches the number on their vehicle’s steering wheel badge. The watch is thoughtfully crafted to match the ebonized presence of the 2024 Camaro Collector’s Edition, with Camaro and Panther motifs throughout. The watch band is engraved with a panther, and the Camaro logo is on the watch face.
