Chevy Silverado Service Schedule Texas

Chevy Silverado Service Schedule Texas
Your Chevy Silverado is one of the biggest investments you are bound to make, so don’t you want to get to most out of your investment? Although dependability is one of the many things Chevy Silverados are known for, regular maintenance will take your truck even further. The service schedule for a Chevy Silverado can vary depending on the specific model, year, and driving conditions. However, here is a general guideline for the recommended service schedule for a Chevy Silverado:
Every 7,500 miles:
Long gone are the days of having your oil changed every 3000 miles. With the introduction of Synthetic oil, that time period has grown to 7,500 miles. When you visit El Dorado Chevrolet’s service department for your oil changes, you will also have your tires rotated, and their pressure checked and adjusted if needed. Our technicians will also visually inspect your truck’s brake system, engine air cleaner filter, and cabin air filter. And every visit to our service department gets fluid levels checked and topped off as needed.
Every 45,000 miles:
After 45,000 miles, it’s time to bring your Silverado in for some filter replacements. First, the cabin air filter will be replaced so you can enjoy fresh air inside your truck. Next, the fuel filter will be examined and replaced if needed. Finally, if you have noticed that your acceleration has slowed or that your MPGs have gone down, it may be time to change your engine air filter. When you bring your truck to El Dorado Chevrolet’s service department, we will inspect your inspect fuel and exhaust system for damage or leaks and lubricate the steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, and half shafts.
Every 60,000 miles:
The 60,000-mile servicing of your Chevrolet spark plugs should be replaced. If you leave the old spark plugs in too long, you’ll experience rough idling, difficult start-ups, and poor fuel economy. You should also replace your truck’s air filters, oil and fuel filters, and brake pads. If you have not already done so, your tires will need to be replaced now. The service technician will carefully inspect the starter motor, cylinder heads, fuel injectors, steering components, and drivetrain to ensure that undue wear is not occurring and that no potentially serious faults have developed.
Every 100,000 miles:
By the time your Chevy Silverado 1500 hits 100,000 miles, it’ll have had its required maintenance done over a dozen times. Items such as routine oil changes and regular tire rotations are how you will keep your truck running like new for years down the road. If your Silverado has a GVW of over 8,600 pounds, this service will also include changing your transfer case fluid. The engine coolant and automatic transmission fluid should be flushed and replaced at this time as well.
