Chevy Debuts Special Edition 2022 Corvette Stingray
The IMSA GTLM Championship Edition
Racing is a part of the heritage of the Chevrolet Corvette — that’s why Chevrolet chose the Raceway at Belle Isle Park as the backdrop for the reveal of the 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition.
Designed as an homage to the No. 3 and No. 4 Corvette C8.R race cars, this special model boasts a wealth of exclusive styling cues. Each model is based on the 3LT trim, and sports a Corvette Racing-themed graphics package along with the Z51 Performance Package. Models based on the No. 3 car will don Accelerate Yellow exterior paint with accents, while the No. 4-inspired models sport Hypersonic Gray paint with yellow graphics.
These Corvette models also set themselves apart with a host of exclusive features, including high-wing Carbon Flash spoilers, yellow brake calipers, Carbon Flash exterior mirrors, Black Trident wheel designs, and black side rockers. On the inside, you’ll find even more signature styling cues, including a Strike Yellow and Sky Cool Gray color scheme, a C8.R Special Edition numbered plaque, and standard GT2 seats. And to help keep your Corvette in tip-top shape, it even includes a custom-fitted indoor car cover with matching colors and custom graphics.
The automaker will release just 1,000 of these models for the left-hand-drive market. Orders are open for the 2022 Chevy Corvette, and production will begin in the third quarter of 2021. You can order yours at El Dorado Chevrolet in McKinney, Texas.
