As summer approaches, many families start planning road trips in the Chevrolet Equinox. Packing lightly is a great way to make a summer road trip less stressful. Here are a few tips to help minimize the amount of stuff your family crams in your Traverse on your upcoming vacation.

Use the 1-2-3-4-5-6 Rule

When packing clothes, use the 1-2-3-4-5-6 rule. This means:

  • 1 hat
  • 2 pairs of shoes
  • 3 bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts)
  • 4 tops (t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets)
  • 5 pairs of socks
  • 6 pairs of underwear
